6:00 pm Mass Suspension on Sundays - Effective 1/4/2026
ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE
PASTOR After much prayer and consideration, and in consultation with our Parish
Pastoral Council, a decision was made to temporarily suspend the Sunday 6:00 pm
Mass effective January 4, 2026. This
temporary Mass suspension is made due to the dwindling attendance, lack of lectors,
communion ministers and ushers, and the non-overflow seating in the earlier
weekend Masses. An additional Mass is
usually created when there is an overflow of attendance. A fuller church remains our desired goal. The pandemic time is over where social
distancing is required. Now is the time
to be together again and celebrate Mass in a bigger community. We understand that this change is inconvenient to some, but it is necessary
so that we can manage well our resources and manpower in order for our church’s
mission to become more effective and financially sustainable. This is a choice of necessity over
convenience. The 6:00 pm Mass on Sunday
remains suspended until further notice. In view of this, Fr. Andy and I would like to invite you to join our
earlier Masses and take the opportunity to make new friends and acquaintances. The fuller the church, the livelier our worship
becomes. If there is one thing that the Archdiocesan-wide
bankruptcy teaches us, it is to make us more responsible in managing our time,
talents and treasure the best way possible.
We sincerely ask for your
understanding and flexibility in this matter.
Your Pastor, Fr. Marlon Mangubat
